Sunnyside Literacy Lab events are designed to bring literacy directly to the Sunnyside community through public talks, family activities, and workshops.
All SLL events are FREE to the public.
Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at Mosaic Community Center located at 43-12 46th St, Queens, NY 11104.

Walk-in
We’ll be on 43rd Avenue, giving away resources for parents and kids to start the year strong. We’ll have goal-setting templates, conversation starter cards, and motivational stickers. You’ll also have a chance to talk with us about your hopes for your child this school year and get some educator-advice!

This unique event is a collaboration between Sunnyside Literacy Lab and All Saints Episcopal Church.
In the beautiful courtyard of All Saints, we’ll be sharing a morning of literacy and learning.
We’ll start together with a storytime read-aloud. Then kids will break up into a group to complete an art activity while parents convene to discuss reading strategies for young children.
We hope to bring families together around reading in a special space to our community.
